Application Release Engineer
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in software development industry
- Good English verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
- Demonstrated analytical skills in complicated software project development and deployment
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
- Experience in SOA or ESB would be a plus
Responsibilities:
- Maintains the release schedule for all software services
- Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release, schedule and quality
- Negotiate, manage all release activities, including ticket list, deployment window
- Coordinate the release activities, including the deployment plans and UAT guideline and notification
- Participation in deployment operation, log any changes made on prod, answer enquiries related to the release being deployed, participate in troubleshooting and bug fix if necessary
- Conduct release readiness review meeting, release retrospective meeting
- Co-ordinate developers to investigate bugs
- Review specs, identify changes in release and communicate release details
- Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
- Maintain a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
- Research and employ new release management techniques, configuration management methodologies
